We couldn't be more delighted with the signet ring that Gary Callaghan of Masters Hand Engravers London created for our younger son's 21st birthday. The whole process took approx 6 weeks from first contact through the design stage to the delivery of the wonderful hand engraved 9ct gold Classic Oxford oval signet ring, hand engraved with our family crest. The ring is fair trade gold from South Africa and has been hallmarked by the London Assay Office. Gary was particularly helpful with the design stage and sent through a few ideas. We asked Gary to also hand engrave our son's initials, hidden, on the inside of the ring and this Gary kindly did too. The ring arrived in a lovely red presentation box. Apart from a couple of phone calls we communicated exclusively by WhatsApp and Gary was very professional and responsive. It could be a daunting process as it was such an expensive purchase but Gary inspired confidence and the signet ring is superb. I can recommend Masters Hand Engravers London and Gary without hesitation.

Masters Hand Engravers London, does exactly what it says, having provided me with superb service, and a Master Craftsman’s expertise and assistance in my request for a bespoke Signet Ring, we talked about the design, I asked for some idea about what would be the best size, and advised on my finger size, we talked about sizing and design, and I received some amazing advice. Once we settled on all the details, Gary was patient and helpful every step of the way, I had found my family crest and wanted this made, Gary assured me it was very nice and that it would look really good, HE DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I was told the timescales, and he gave me updates as needed. When the ring arrived, I was absolutely amazed, I could not have possibly hoped for any better, it looks and feels amazing, I adore wearing it, I specifically wanted a slightly weightier ring and MHEL made what I wanted reality, it came out exactly as I imagined.

Although I’d read all the good reviews about Masters Hand Engravers before contacting Gary directly, I was still uncertain whether he’d be able to make the ring that I had in mind. I’d already been told by other engravers that the level of detail I wanted was not possible. I need not have worried. Working from my designs, Gary produced a real masterpiece. To say I’m delighted is an understatement and I would certainly recommend Masters Hand Engravers to anyone considering a signet ring or jewellery design.

I order a seal ring for my Granddaughter's 21st birthday, the lockdown meant the process took longer than normally but Gary kept me appraised on progress and the time taken for the Assay Office to clear the backlog of work. It was worth the wait, it is a beautiful ring and my Granddaughter is delighted - Well done Master Hand Engravers. A special vote of thanks to Gary for his help in these difficult times.
