Standing 75cm in height, Sterling Silver and weighing over 2kgs, the Civil Service Athletics Cup was specially commissioned in 1927 and now has an insurance value of £78,000. This message to window shoppers is laser engraved on to 0.9 mm pre-polished and lacquered brass, on a rosewood block. Our laser option is only available on request and normally for larger quantities. The layout and design are approved and supervised by The Master Hand Engraver and his apprentice.

One of our customers requested a quality silver-plated plaque to mark their charity fundraising day. We supplied them with this highly polished, silver-plated on brass, 1 mm thick plaque; computer-engraved with a deep cut, black fill and hand rounded corners.

The National Association of Goldsmiths Engraving Card shows a variety of lettering and inscription styles. This style card is still used by most family jewellers when discussing hand engraving with their clients

We couldn't be more delighted with the signet ring that Gary Callaghan of Masters Hand Engravers London created for our younger son's 21st birthday. The whole process took approx 6 weeks from first contact through the design stage to the delivery of the wonderful hand engraved 9ct gold Classic Oxford oval signet ring, hand engraved with our family crest. The ring is fair trade gold from South Africa and has been hallmarked by the London Assay Office. Gary was particularly helpful with the design stage and sent through a few ideas. We asked Gary to also hand engrave our son's initials, hidden, on the inside of the ring and this Gary kindly did too. The ring arrived in a lovely red presentation box. Apart from a couple of phone calls we communicated exclusively by WhatsApp and Gary was very professional and responsive. It could be a daunting process as it was such an expensive purchase but Gary inspired confidence and the signet ring is superb. I can recommend Masters Hand Engravers London and Gary without hesitation.
